Who We  Are

The Global Media and Visual Anthropology Archive serves as a dynamic hub for students across the world. This platform invites students to share their ethnographic projects—works that capture their unique perspectives, observations, and interactions with the world—through digital and visual forms of documentation. We created this site with the hope of fostering a vibrant, interconnected community—one that allows students in our ever-changing world to exchange reflections on human experiences, engage in meaningful dialogue, and explore diverse thematic entry points. We welcome all media and visual creators interested in anthropological inquiry to join us in uncovering and expressing cultural narratives through visual storytelling.

Why Anthropology
& Ethnography?
And why using media&visual expressions?

With the advancement of technology and contemporary art, media and visual forms have become powerful ways for people to record and express their observations of the world. Through this platform, we seek to study these ways of documentation and their role in shaping how we understand humanity and society.

In this ever-changing era, we believe that observing, documenting, and engaging with the phenomena and conditions unfolding around us is not only vital for our long-term understanding of ourselves and the structures of society, but also plays a pivotal role in human history, progress, and the future of humankind.

Our guiding principle is simple yet powerful: “Connect.”
